I’ve had some time this afternoon on the computer so I grabbed my child, wrestling him away from his video games, and made him sit while I took his picture. (No one was hurt in the making of this photo.) I did not use any special lighting, just my camera, a dark background, and natural light coming in my living room window. I downloaded GIMP for free and had to go through a few tutorials on YouTube after I watched the videos on how Evan Sharboneau did it in Photoshop. There are a few steps I still need to learn about on GIMP, but I’ll spend some time learning in the near future.
